When Crocs first came out, I was one of the many people that scoffed at the shoes. They were made of an ugly rubber, came in brilliant colors, and seemed awkward. They were like nothing else on the shoe market, and I was naive enough to turn a cheek to their uniqueness.
From the first time I slipped a pair on my feet, I did a complete 180 and fell in love right then and there. I started looking at them, trying them on every where I saw them. But I still didn’t buy a pair, because I couldn’t get over the design and the colors. I was holding back because I knew there was no way I would wear them in public.
There I stood in the shoe store, with a pair of green Crocs on, not sure what to do next. “Walk around,” my friend said. I cruised up and down the aisles. I was almost too proud to admit how right he was. It was like clouds were forming under my feet with each step.I had never felt that kind of comfort. But, as I walked passed a mirror, I was still skeptical about how they looked. Although they were the most comfortable shoes I had ever tried on, I decided to pass on buying them that day because I was still a little turned off by the way they looked.
I kept up my crocs crusade though. Looking at every pair, still trying to convince myself the original style wasn’t so bulky looking. Then I see it, the holy grail of comfortable shoes, there, in the higher end store, on display was a shoe that was fashionable, trendy looking, and not bulky at all… and to top it off, it was lableed Crocs brand. I tried a few on wondering what other croc styles were out there.
As soon as I got home I fired up the computer and checked out Crocs.com, and was amazed with what I saw. There were heels, wedges, metallics, shoes that could be worn with dresses, slacks, oh my, I was in heaven. All I had to do was go to crocs.com and pick out my favorites.
When I got home, I walked directly to my computer and went on www.crocs.com. My jaw dropped. There were more Crocs than I could even imagine. There was a style for any taste. They had heels, wedges, metallics. Crocs you could wear with dresses, and Crocs you could wear with dress pants. It was like an endless line of heaven for feet. Now, when it’s time to go out with friends for the night, I no longer have to sacrifice comfort for style. I just put on a pair of my Rio’s, Hanalei’s, or Postiano’s, and I’m ready to go.
